So, David spent half of this week getting over the chicken pox, but thankfully it was a mild case (all those vaccines were good for something, apparently) and he’ll be back to school on Monday. He got to play with Daddy at the Speedway on Friday and Mommy got some QT with him on Thursday, and Saturday we went and cheered for Chris as he ran his third half marathon in a month! David loved all the school buses, fire trucks, and flashing lights, and he enjoyed cheering at the finish line, too.

We spent a relatively quiet (but beautiful) Sunday cleaning and puttering, and it’s lovely that he finally requests movies other than Cars, not that anything could ever replace “Queen and Mater”...

Friday was way more fun, as it turned out, because they actually went out to the Speedway to watch time trials. And they saw lots of school buses (apparently David wasn't the only kid who played hooky from school)
