David is very big on being useful, and I am very big on getting things done, so we compromised and he helped me shell some peas for dinner on Monday night

He was very good about it; if he dropped any (several) on the floor, he hopped off his stool and retrieved every one, regardless of whether it rolled under the couch or not. Note: he did not actually eat any of said peas. Too green and healthy-looking

Ah, we’re back in hose season. Great.

In an effort to entertain David within view of the kitchen, we brought the sidewalk chalk out back to the patio. It didn’t stay on the sidewalk. Or the patio. And the pets are mad because a) they’re not being let out at the moment, b) the chalk is blocking their view and c) they’re not currently being fed
