David inspects the Valentine “thing” that Emily made at work during a creative hour of arts and crafts on Valentine’s Day. Nobody is really sure what it is, but it’s cone shaped, decorated with pictures of trucks and sushi and chili peppers and sparkly stuff, so there’s a little something for everyone that says “I Love You”. And her art museum coworkers were impressed with it

The dog got a badly-needed brushing, so we took off all three of his collars. David promptly put them on (though we didn’t let him play outside with the electrical fence collar on…we’re good parents) and liked the jingly sound they made
